Events in December 2015:
November 21st - December 23rd
Christmas Market in Bratislava - anually Main Square and Hviezdoslav square in Bratislava are illuminated by a huge Christmas trees and the Christmas market stalls are officially opened. The Bratislava Christmas Market is known by its atmosphere and attracts thousands of people every day, who come to meet their friends and chat over some mulled wine and traditional specialties. Every evening there is live music, choirs and other events.
New Year in the City Centre - enjoy a fantastic show on various stages spread in the city centre. Live concerts and an open air discos are complemented by various cultural activities for all generations. At midnight a fantastic firework show and light effects along the banks of the Danube. Welcome to the biggest party of the city. Welcome to “Partyslava”.

Bratislava Music Festival – BHS - the most prominent Slovak festival of classical music. Series of concerts, opera, and ballet performances performed by outstanding music artists
October 23rd - October 25th
Bratislava Jazz Days - this International Jazz Festival is one of the largest events of this kind in Central Europe. It is regularly attended by the most distinguished jazz stars. This year it will already be held for the 40th time.
November 6th - November 15th
International Film Festival Bratislava - 14th IFF Bratislava will bring a wide selection of the contemporary film production and a number of other interesting events held in Bratislava
and its surroundings.

Open days at wine cellars - A unique opportunity to visit and sample wine in 120 wine cellars located on the Small Carpathian Wine Route.

Slovakia in Bratislava – Days of ÚĽUV Masters - A festival of folk production and traditional crafts. More than 100 producers from different regions of Slovakia will demonstrate their craftsmanship.

Festival of historical fencing, music, dance and crafts at Devin Castle - performances, fencing duels, fairs, exhibitions of old weapons and clothing in the special atmosphere of the castle.

Bratislava for Everyone - The Municipality of Bratislava opens its doors to all Bratislavians and visitors. Free entrance to city museums and attractions, free sightseeing tours, and many other interesting programmes and events.

Easter market - Traditional Easter souvenirs like painted eggs, whips, wooden and ceramic decorations. Venue: Old Town , Františkánske námestie
National Devin – Bratislava Run - 68th anual road race for runners of all ages. Traditional road race in Slovakia starts under the ruins of Devin Castle and finishes at the Bratislava Opera House.
April, 4th - April, 5th
Wine Market in Pezinok - annual wine exhibition and on 5th April also public wine sampling in the regional town of Pezinok. Venue: Cultural House, Pezinok

Bratislava Marathon - the 10th year of Bratislava City Marathon provides special run races for everyone. “The Kids Olympics “, “The Equal Chance”, “The Hobby Run”.

The day of Pezinok´s cellers - Wine tasting in historic wine cellars of Pezinok (20 km from Bratislava). Venue: 28 cellars of Pezinok from 12pm till 9pm

Day of Svätý Jur Wine Cellars - Winemakers of Svätý Jur (lovely small town 15 km from Bratislava) will offer you their best wines from Small Carpathian wine region. A chance to see an unique world of the town´s cellars. Venue: cellars of Svätý Jur, Friday 2pm – 10 pm; Saturday 12pm – 8 pm.
January – March
Bratislava on Ice - Enjoy ice skating on Hviezdoslavovo Square, directly in front of the historical building of the Slovak National Theatre. The ice rink is opened for public daily from 10 am till 10 pm.
